Welcome Letter from the Editor.

Welcome to another great year at The Phoenix! We are getting started with event planning and tying down just how we want this year’s publication to look as a whole. As you may know, our submissions are OPEN and will stay that way until November 20th. Any works of non-fiction, fiction, poetry, and photography are welcome! We have a new staff of 11 who are excited and ready to be a part of the team, they all have unique perspectives and bring so many things to the table. You can read their bios and put names to faces on the About tab on this website. Make sure to stay updated with our progress, events, and even some behind-the-scenes moments with our Facebook!

My name is Torri, I am the Editor-In-Cheif for the 2015-2016 school year and I'm so excited to continue being a part of this journal. I am a senior Religion and Practical Theology major but my second love is creative writing. I was on staff last year, had a piece entitled "Her" published in our last edition and have been writing since I was 13 years old. Being a senior and having such a big role on the journal has been a dream come true. Last year's addition became like my baby and I knew that I had to keep being a part of this. I mostly write non-fiction and it is the genre that I prefer to stay in; my imagination can just run wild and I absolutely love it. I'll stop rambling now so that you can explore the rest of our website! Salud!

Stay tuned for book reviews, photographs, and thought provoking pieces by our Staff!
